What a great challenge to LIVE what we BELIEVE. It's far easier to say we believe in something than to show it in the way we live every single day.

It all sounds so simple; submitting to God, yelling No and then watching the devil scamper. But the hard part comes when we are tempted. Saying no to something that feels so good is really hard. You have to look past the instant gratification and look at the long term consequences.

Many people take sin too lightly. There are consequences to our actions and our thoughts. We may experience mercy for a period of time, but our loving God will not stand by and watch His precious people be lured into death. At some point, He will intervene. That wake up call can be very painfull. Learning to say "NO!"--to make a decision for obedience--can save a lot of heartache and trouble.

Great questions. There are answers, but they are somewhat elusive. Rain falls, but if you keep moving, you will not drown. If you keep your eyes on the good (Jesus, the future promises of Heaven and complete satisfaction, and the Hope that offers) and refuse to let the negative drag you down for the count, you can/will survive.

We search for tangible answers. Destinations where the rain stops and contentment arrives, but I am not sure that is possible. Least not till heaven surrounds us. But there can be joy in the journey. Hope is available in the midst of the swirling challenges. And, He will provide an anchor in the torrent.

He is always with you and He is always working on your behalf. He hurts when you hurt and is just waiting for an opportunity to heal wounds, calm storms, move mountains, and shed light.

I will be praying that you sense His presence and peace today.
