All has been discovered, flee at onc
Currently, I am going through a book study with a couple of friends. One of the stories stood out to me.
“Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of master detective Sherlock Homes, was a great practical joker. In one of his most fiendish pranks, he sent out identical telegrams to twelve of his friends. The telegrams were anonymous and simply said: ‘All has been discovered. Flee at once.’ What’s funny is that within twenty-four hours, all twelve men had fled the country.”
Amazing. 12 guys had so much hidden baggage that they disappeared at the very threat of it going public.
That has made me wonder how I would respond if the situation was the same. Would the skeletons and shadows in my life indicate that I should tuck tale and run in shame? As long as I remain accountable and up front, I would not be afraid.
What about you?

WOW! As I read your post I first thought of how scary that might be to have it all laid out like that, everything discovered. But then it occured to me how refreshing it would be to know that nothing had to be hidden any longer. I had that experience several years ago where it all came out and I mean ALL. I was essentially booted out of my church and lovingly accepted at a new one and amazingly forgiven by my awesome husband of 19 years. I cannot tell you how absolutely freeing it is to know that the people who love you, love you because of you, not who they THINK you are. JUST AS GOD DOES! Amazing, simply amazing grace.

That is the part of conviction that we miss. We forget the complete and utter forgiveness that God offers. Isn’t that amazing.
Thanks for sharing. And, I am glad that God is doing great things in your life.
